Gladys Parker

2023 Eisner Nominated in Best Comics-Related Book. Gladys Parker was a female cartoonist and fashion designer during the 1930s to the 1950s. This is a semi-biographical book showcasing her work in comics and fashion. I researched and used fonts from the 1930s adding a contemporary flare, used the colors scheme of black and white to reflect a vintage vibe, and a red-orange accent which represents a popular 30s lipstick color, Parker’s bold sense of style and that “exploded coconut,” red hair of hers.
